5-Step Plan

The In Touch Marketing Concepts team of Ranae Gabel and Sherry Russell are often the requested speakers at local civic, chambers, trade and marketing groups. The generous offering of time and information boosts both local and regional awareness of their clients.

ITMC has developed specialized presentations of social media “Lunch & Learns” for in-house business teams and their support employees. This program is applicable to many businesses such as realtors, contractors, networking groups, retailers and wholesale distributors.

With so much experience and material to impart, Russell and Gabel often start with the basic 5-Step Plan to “Jump Start Your Marketing”, as follows:

Step Two – Communicate Your Differences/Uniqueness

Image relates to your service

Reputation of your products

What makes you the obvious choice other than price?

Customer expectation vs. Unique differences.

Little touches make a big difference to your market and/or client.

What makes you different from the competition?

Focus groups: Why do they buy from you; How do they find you? What makes they stay with you? Why do they refer business to you?

Step Three – Build a Connection

Build an extension of products and services that is bigger than the product itself.

How are you and your organization presenting itself?

Drill down, people want to experience it, and tell their friends, repeat make it bigger than the service/product itself, they want to connect.

Step Four – Create Advertising Materials that Educate/Communicate

Targeted materials

Communicating the marketing campaign concept, idea, theme and message. Set timelines and benchmarks of 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year.

  • What makes you different?
  • What are the benefits of doing business with you?
  • Media placement-use the tools that will maximize the touch points: Technology, Social Media, Print

Step Five – Develop A Strategic Marketing Plan

Develop a “Picture of Success” and build the path.

Set timelines and benchmarks of 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year.

Adapt and change based on what is working, and what isn’t.
